Amanda di Medici brings a rare combination of expertise to The Yenom Foundation, with a background spanning law, finance, and adult education, and more than thirty years across the technology and community services sectors. Her focus sharpened while working as a finance broker, where the people she met each day revealed a widespread and urgent gap in basic financial knowledge — from those seeking zero-deposit, 105% home loans, to those trapped in ‘rent-to-buy’ schemes, to those with little prospect of ever obtaining credit.

Long convinced that sound personal financial management is the foundation of an empowered life, Amanda saw the vulnerability of these clients crystallise that belief into a clear focus: education and mentoring are the community’s most pressing needs. Roles with the Brotherhood of St Laurence and TAFE NSW gave her the structure, support, and outcomes frameworks to create lasting change, and the disciplines of financial literacy education became the bedrock of her career.

Amanda established The Yenom Foundation to provide education, counselling, advocacy, and research to the Australian public. In partnership with Yenom, the Foundation turns that mission into practical support — meeting people where they already are and equipping individuals and communities with the knowledge and confidence to make sound financial decisions. Its purpose is independent and singular: greater financial understanding and stronger financial wellbeing for Australians, whatever their starting point.
